When I was five years old, I was inspired by a postcard of Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night and created my first mural with a blue ballpoint pen and an orange crayon on my parents' living room wallpaper. I learned two things that day: first, wallpaper is not meant for drawing if you want to live to be six, and second, I absolutely loved to create.
Today, my canvas is an iMac, and my calling is healthcare. Throughout my career, I have choreographed motion graphics and videos on both national and local levels, tackling projects ranging from heart health tips to the hazards of smoking. I am truly in my flow when solving visual problems and discovering new solutions. Currently, I believe AI and precision medicine are the ultimate game-changers in healthcare.
Whether I am simplifying how PCSK9 lowers cholesterol or explaining genetic testing to Parkinson’s patients, it always starts with a story. By asking the core question, “Why is this significant ? ”, doing the research groundwork, and not just thinking deep but thinking wide to see the bigger picture, I use good design and visual storytelling to teach people about the universe that lives within them.
